Invoices

An invoice is a document about charges that already exist, not a second way of charging somebody. Build one for a lease over a period and Haven gathers the charges posted in that period which are not on an invoice yet, subtracts the credits, and stamps those charges as invoiced so they cannot land on a second invoice.

Batch does the same across every lease with uninvoiced charges for a month, and shows you the list before it creates anything.

Status

You set the status: draft, sent, void. Marking one sent stamps the date — it is your record that it went out, not an instruction to Haven to send it. Refresh recalculates what has been paid against it. Voiding an invoice releases its charges to be invoiced again and never touches the ledger: the money owed is unaffected by the document that described it.

How they look

Under Invoice settings, an owner or admin chooses a template — classic, modern or minimal — the numbering format and next number, your payment terms and a footer line. The template and your accent color are snapshotted onto each invoice as it is built, so re-styling your invoices next year does not restyle the ones already issued.
