A promotion is the permanent record that a student moved up a rank. Two things create one: passing a belt test, or an instructor recording it by hand for a student promoted on the mat.
The promotions list is your school's history of advancement. Filter it by style, rank, instructor, or period to see who has been promoting whom, and how often.
Made a mistake? Roll it back. A promotion entered in error can be
rolled back rather than deleted — the student returns to their
previous rank and the record of the correction stays. Tick
