Belt tests

A belt test is a grading event: you create it, register the students who are ready, hold it, then record who passed. Passing promotes the student automatically, so you do not enter it twice.

  1. Press New Belt Test, give it a title, a date, and the style it is for.
  2. Set the testing fee, or mark it Free. Fees can be billed to each family's account.
  3. Register the students who are testing.
  4. After the grading, mark who Passed. Everyone who passed is promoted to their next rank.
  5. Open the Belt Test Report for the summary — who tested, who passed, and what was collected.

Finished tests can be archived to get them out of the way, and restored later if you need them back.

The two ways a rank changes, and the one way it is undone. A rollback returns the student to their previous rank and keeps the correction visible, which is why promotions are never simply deleted.
