Schedule, crew and time
The schedule is a list of tasks. Each task has dates, a phase, and the person or sub it belongs to.
Tasks that wait on each other
A task can wait on another task. Move one end date later, and Cedar moves every unfinished task that waits on it down the line. Cedar refuses a sequence that loops back on itself, because no order can satisfy it. Add a task with + Task, or start the list from your project plan with Start from this plan.
Dispatch and the crew's text
The dispatch view shows who is working where each day. Choose Text tomorrow's crew dispatch to send each person their day by text. Use Open in calendar to see the same dates alongside everything else. See Calendar, dashboard and search.
Daily logs
On the Logs tab, write what happened on site that day: the crew, the weather, the work done and the photos. Choose Clean up wording to tidy the spelling and shorthand. Cedar only fixes the wording and adds nothing, and you can Undo cleanup to get your own words back. Nothing reaches the customer until a person chooses Approve. Save with Save log, and open an approved log with Reopen if it needs a change.
The time clock
Open Time to see who is on now and who is out. Each person clocks in against a project and a cost code, takes a break in minutes, and clocks out. A closed entry costs the hours at that person's cost per hour, and that cost goes into the project's labor. Owners and admins edit entries and set the rates. Crew clock in and out from their own phone.
