Reports

Find it Finance › Reports

Cedar has thirteen reports. They are for the office and the owner, and crew do not see them. Viewers see them and change nothing.

The reports

  • Projects: project profitability, work in progress (over and under billed), pipeline, change orders, crew time, and a full statement for one project.
  • Finance: profit and loss, money collected, money billed, receivables aging, spending and retainage.
  • Tax: sales tax.

Using them

  1. Open Reports and pick one.
  2. Choose the period. Every figure, table and total follows it.
  3. Read the summary, then the table under it.
  4. Export to CSV for a spreadsheet, or to PDF to print or send. The CSV, the PDF and the screen all read the same rows, so the file your accountant gets matches what you saw.

How the money is counted

A draft was never sent, so it is not a sale. A voided invoice was taken back, so it is not a sale either. Sales tax is the rate on the taxable lines, after each line's own discount. A refund is taken off the payment it reverses. Project figures match the project's Money tab and its dashboard numbers, so the three agree.
