Calendar, dashboard and search

Three screens show the whole business at a glance: the calendar for dates, the dashboard for what needs you this morning, and search for finding anything.

The calendar

Find it Work › Calendar

The calendar shows every dated thing in one place: schedule tasks, your own events such as inspections, meetings, deliveries and site visits, each project's start and due dates, invoices and bills coming due, estimates about to expire, and sub papers that are running out. Switch between Month, Week, Timeline and Agenda, and choose Today to come back. Add your own with + Event. Moving a schedule task moves the tasks waiting on it. Crew see their own projects and events, and the money and the papers stay with the office.

The dashboard

The dashboard answers three questions in order. How the money is: what is owed to you, what has been billed and collected, and the cash flow. How the work is: active projects, open bids, the open pipeline, and your win rate and wins over the last 90 days. What needs a person: bills due in the next two weeks, drafts, estimates waiting on a customer, and anything else that needs an answer. Choose Dismiss on an alert to clear it.

Search

Press Ctrl+K, or / when you are not typing in a box, and start typing. Results are grouped by Projects, People, Documents and Files. A document is found by its number, with or without the leading letters and zeros, so INV-2219 and 2219 find the same invoice. Under the results, quick add starts a new customer, project, estimate, invoice, change order, daily log, expense or time entry, following the project or customer the search found.

Crew search only their own projects and their files, and they are offered a daily log and the clock. Viewers can find things but are offered nothing to add.
