New project with AI
The project wizard starts a project from whatever you already have: the client's email or text, your notes, plans, photos, spec sheets and sub bids. You review what it drafts before anything is saved.
Starting it
- On the pipeline, choose ✦ Start with AI.
- Paste or type the client's message and your notes, and add the files.
- Wait while Cedar reads them. It drafts the client, the project name, the site address, the description, the scope of work, the schedule in phases, the questions an estimate would still need, and any gaps.
Reviewing it
The review page shows each part of the draft. Correct anything, and answer the questions that stayed open. The client is matched to an existing customer by email first, then by phone, then by name, or Cedar makes a new lead. Nothing is saved until you choose Create project. The project is created at the Lead stage, with its scope, its schedule, its files and its notes. The schedule chains each phase to the one before it and skips weekends.
After it is created
On the review page, Build the estimate starts an AI estimate from the same files, Open the project takes you to the new project, and Stop here leaves the draft as it is.
The Cedar AI panel
A chat panel appears on the review page, on the project page and on a draft estimate. Ask it to change the project or the draft, and it lists what it changed. Its latest change can be undone while nothing else has changed since. The panel never sends anything, never gets a signature, never takes a payment and never deletes anything. You do those yourself.
